My salt e-liquid tastes bad, burnt or has no flavor.Updated a year ago
Salt nicotine e-liquids and flavor formulas are extremely stable. For this reason, we recommend troubleshooting the pod or pod device when experiencing any kind of flavor issue. We've compiled the following list to help troubleshoot your pod/pod device:
- Switch to a new pod and allow the e-liquid to soak in the pod for at least 5 minutes before use. This is a process referred to as priming. If a pod is not adequately primed the coil can overheat and produce a burnt flavor.
- Switch to a pod with a higher resistance. For salt-nicotine e-liquids, a lower resistance pod will generally produce less flavor. We recommend pods with a resistance of at least 1.0-ohm. Pods with a resistance of 1.2-ohm to 1.4-ohm will produce the best and most consistent results.
- Avoid using pods with a mesh coil, which tend to burn and produce lower quality flavor when paired with salt nicotine e-liquid.
